On the internet, accessibility technically means: “Your website should perform optimally on all conceivable output devices.” This includes desktop monitors, smartphones, and even screen readers. Outside of Germany, the term “accessibility” is therefore also simply used. Thus, anyone wishing to make their website accessible to the widest possible audience must enhance it both technically and in terms of content. This is not inexpensive.
